If you or a loved one are experiencing a crisis, know that there are a host of prevention and intervention services, that are available to you, if therapy is not an option for you at this time.   • 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 to connect with a trained crisis worker 24/7. 

  • SAMHSA's National Helpline: Call 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or text your ZIP code to 435748 (HELP4U). 

  • MentalHealth.gov: A one-stop resource for information on mental health and mental health problems, including suicide prevention and coping with trauma. 

  • National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH): The lead federal agency for research on mental disorders. You can contact NIMH by: 

    • Calling 1-866-615-6464 

    • Using the live online chat 

    • Emailing nimhinfo@nih.gov 

  • E-couch: A website that provides information on emotional problems, including depression and anxiety disorders. It also offers online interventions and a workbook to track progress. 

  • State and county agencies: Your state or county government website may have information about health services in your area.
